ORDINANCE NO. 84-2-2481
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 84-2-2465
ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE FROM CARGILL SALT COMPANY
OF UP TO 500 TONS OF SALT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST"
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners passed Ordinance No.
84.-2-2465 on February 9, 1984; which ordinance authorized the purchase of
salt, and
WHEREAS, the price for said salt was inadvertently shown as
$26.00 per ton.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION. 1. That the City of Paducah authorize the purchase from
Cargill Salt Company of up to 500 tons of salt, for not more than 426798
$28.00 per ton, F.O.B. Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. In order to avoid charges for late payment of this
salt, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect upon its passage with one reading.
