At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky,'at 5:00 P.M. on September 18, 1970, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:. -'Commission-
ers Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5),
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher that the executed
copies -of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 5 o'clock_P.M.- on September 18,
1970, be received and filed. Adopted'on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the
liability insurance policy issued by State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company to
V. L. Chandler d/b/a Chandler Plumbing Company, for a period of one year from August 3,
1970, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roil, Yeas, Commission-
ers Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fisher offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that upon
recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made:
to 1. Bill Hillman, an Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, has
=_ satisfactorily_completed,the,-60 day•-training.-•period.as such -
Applicant -Candidate as provided by ordinance, he is hereby ap-
..pointed a, -fireman --in the Fire _ Department; - at a.7 salary: of $490.00
per month, retroactive to September 16, 1970.
2. Fames Dale Humphrey, temporary laborer in the Floodwall Department,
be terminated, effective September 3, 1970.
3. The following temporary laborers in the Street Division of -the-
Public Works Department be terminated, effective September 15, 1970:

4. Samuel Taylor be employed in the Public Works :Department, : as. -vehicle
Body Repairman, at a salary of $2.98 per hour, retroactive to
September 8, 1970.
5. The following persons be employed as temporary laborers in the
Street Division of the Public Works Department, at a salary of
$2.00 per hour: _

6. The following truck drivers in the Street Division of the Public
Works Department be promoted to Street Repairmen in said Depart-
ment, at a salary of $2.58 per hour, effective October 1, 1970;

Public Works Department, be promoted to Sewer Maintenance- man in

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
Certificate of Insurance issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to Loyd
Goins covering the period of time from September 4, 1970 to October 13, 1970, together
with Bond in the amount of $1,000.00, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on cal]
of the Roll, Yeas, Commssioners'Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and.Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
. Bond of Leslie A. Feast Construction Company in the amount of $1,000.00, dated Sugust
28, 1970, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that Herman Knight,
maintenance Helper in the Maintenance Department, be promoted to No. 2 Maintenance Man
in said Department, at- a salary of $2.78 per hour, effective October 1, 1970. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fisher, Harvey, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor
Cherry (5) .
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, that Robert Jones,
laborer in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, be promoted to truck dri er
in said Department, at a salary of $2.48 per hour, effective October 1, 1970. Adopted

ONE OR TWO TRUCKS, WITHOUT BODIES, FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND -PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners

KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE

PADUCAH AND THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN AND ANGELS OF MERCY, INC., AND PRESCRIBING THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE", be introduced and
remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll,

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN
