At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held -in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 p.m. on November 21, 1972, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the .following answered to their names: Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,. Puryear and.,Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by.Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed

copies of the Notice of Called Meeting tobe held _at 4:30 p.m..on November 21, 1972,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of .the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Horns
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered.motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that Charles Doria
U. S. Evans and Harry Hollis!be appointed to serve as.members of.the Board of Equalizati
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the year 1972; that the members of said Board,
after being first duly sworn to_ faithfully discharge the duties of their office, be
directed to meet at the City Hall in Paducah, Kentucky.on the lst day of Decenber, 1972;
to elect from themselves a chairman and a clerk.; to notify the.City Auditor.that they a
ready to receive the assessment books and„to.th,en proceed with the equalization of
ASSESSMENTS OF ALL -REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE city subject t'P ,taxa.t,ion in
accordance with the provisions of law; and the members .of said Board are to receive for
their services the amount of compensation.fixed by ordinance. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor.McNutt (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded_.by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
claim of Mrs. Mattie Belle Flowers, 2610 Jefferson Street, in the amount of $358.12
for damages caused by removal and destruction of drain tile on her property be allowed,
and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said sum after first obtaining a
complete and final release for any and all damages directly or indirectly caused by
flooding and cost of repairing the drainage system. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).

executed copy of the Offer of Grant for Federal assistance in the construction of
sanitary sewage collection facility to serve the Coleman Road Industrial Park, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that Guy
Dick be employed as collector in the Refuse Department at a salary of $2.50 per hour,
retroactive to November 20, 1972. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
'Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Bond-Tilfor Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the

1972, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner

Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING, ADOPTING, APPROVING, ACCEPTING AND
RATIFYING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. DOT-Fft-7
SO -6988 BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
COUNTY OF McCRACKEN, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REQUEST AN AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACT NO. DOT -UT -672 BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATI
URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", be adopted.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and
Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF REGULAR AND ETHYL

GASOLINE,'MOTOR' OIL, DIESEL FUEL, -CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL,`'HYDRAULIC OIL,
KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JANUARY 1, 1973
THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1973", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

COLLECTION; COLLECTORS NOT TO ENTER BUILDING' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED 'AN
ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING
THE AMENDMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SECTION 53, SECTION 54 AND SECTION 55 OF THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971, AND AMENDING SAID SECTIONS', WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 14, 1972", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT AND CHANGE ORDER IN THE
CONTRACT WITH B & B CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II OF THE PADUCAH
RIVERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CHANGE ORDER
FOR SAID CONTRACT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners

FOR EXTENSION OF A WATER LINE TO THE PADUCAH LANDFILL SITE", be adopted. Adopted
