At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 O'clock P.M. on November 14, 1972, Mayor
McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the .f"ollowing answered to their names:
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt ,(5J .
NAayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading
of the Minutes for October 24, 31 and November 7, 1972 be waived, and that the Minutes
of said meetings prepared by the City clerk be approved as written. Adopted,on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
following persons be employed as temporary laborers in the Street Department, at a
salary of $2.00 per hour:
John Raymond Roberts, retroactive to November 13, 1972
Marquis Dee Reed, effective November 14, 1972

ns,/ Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the

Certificate -of Insurance issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to the
City of Paducah, covering work done by Seth E. Giem Associates for a period of one year
from November 7, 1972, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
claim of Automotive Parts, Inc. in the amount of $115.55 for damages to its 1964 truck
resulting from its being struck by a police cruiser driven by Patrolman Tommy Bracey,
at 15th and Kentucky Avenue on October 6, 1972, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer
be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release.
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT AN OFFER OF GRANT FOR
PROJECT NO. 04-1-01009 DATED NOVEMBER 8, 1972, FOR PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT
FACILITIES FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION", be adopted. Adopted on cal]
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PETER PIRSCH AND SONS COMPANY
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO (2) 1,250 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMPING ENGINES WITH DIESEL
ENGINE AND CAB FORWARD OVER ENGINE CHASSIS, FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT,
WITH ONE TO BE DELIVERED IN THE YEAR 1973 AND ONE TO BE DELIVERED IN THE YEAR 1974,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted.

Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner -Lambert, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-59 'PARKS AND RECREATION DEPART -
MENTI, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW
SUB -SECTION '(d)'," be adopted. Adopted on call of"the Roll, Yeas, Commissione-rs

Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby that an=ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION
RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SECTION 53, SECTION 54, AND SECTION 55
OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971, AND AMENDING SAID SECTIONS", be adopted,.

Mayor McNutt (5) .
