At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.M. on September 26, 1972, Mayor Protem
Puryear presided in the absence of Mayor McNutt, and upon call of the Roll the followin
answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem
Puryear (4) .
Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m. on September
26, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4).
Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
resignation of Mike Armour as a member of the Drug Abuse Commission be received,
accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby
Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) .
Mayor Protem Puryear made the,following appointment:. ,
I hereby appoint Dr. Clyde Peel a member of the Drug Abuse Commission to fill the
vacancy created by the resignation of Mike Armour, said.appointment.being for an
indefinite term. Said Commission shall now be composed of the following members:

Jerry M. Counce
Fred Morgan, Jr.
Dr. Clyde Peel
Mayor Protem Puryear made the following appointment:
Mike Armour, a member and chairman of the Drug Abuse Commission having resigned,
hereby appoint Charles Cissell to serve as Chairman of said Commission.
Sell graves Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
Rushing Add.
Ema Lee Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Ema Lee of the north
one-half of Lot No. 278 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery,
and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery
property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert
and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) .
Sell lot in V Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
Rushing Add.
Buster Miller Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Buster Miller of
Lot No. 24 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the
City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery lot. Adopt
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem
Puryear (4) .
Sewer tap -on Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the

October 2, 1972, at a salary of $457.33 per month.
2. The following be employed as Patrolmen in the Police Department, effective October

in the Street Department, effective October 2, 1972, at a salary of $2.93 per hour,

Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
liability insurance policy issued by The Aetna Casualty and Surety Company to B & B
Construction Company for a period of one year'from July 27, 1972, be received, approved
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) .
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE BUCKET TRUCK FROM THE
PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM FOR THE PRICE OF $3,700.00, CONSISTING OF ONE 1963 FORD F-600 TR
WITH HOLAN BUCKET MODEL NO. 41, SERIES 8300", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WI
SCHIMPELER, CORRADINO ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH TECHNICAL AND PRO-
FESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A MASS TRANSPORTATION STUDY, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIC
UNDER WHICH SUCH CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF McKEOWN'OFFICE EQUIPMENT FOR SALE
TO THE CITY OF TEN (10) PORTABLE TAPE RECORDERS AND ONE (1) TRANSCRIBER TO BE USED IN
THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor 'Protem Puryear (4) .
Mayor Protem Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MRS. MARY WILLIAMS, 710 SOUTH 10
STREET, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE
JACKSON STREET 100 FEET EAST OF 12TH STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $700.00, AND AUTHORIZING
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. Adopted on call of t
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4).
