At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.M. on July 24, 1972, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner;

Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m., on July 24, 1972, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt made the following appointment: The term of Ray H. Mullen, Jr. as a
member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission expired on July 22, 1972,
I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint the said Ray
H. Mullen, Jr. for a further term of four (4) years, so that said Commission shall be
composed of the following members:
W. Howard Woodall whose term expires July 22, 1973
Robert C. Massie whose term expires July 22, 1974
James L. Munal, Jr. whose term expires July 22, 1975
Ray H. Mullen, Jr. whose term expires July 22, 1976
Alice H. McNutt, Mayor and ex -officio member
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
action of Mayor Alice H. McNutt reappointing Ray H. Mullen, Jr. a member of the City
of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, be approved. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that
Kenneth D. Nelson be employed as City Planner, at a salary of $13,000.00 per year,
effective August 1, 1972, Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Hamock Funeral Home
the northeast corner of Lot No. 355 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove
Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said
cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert,.that an,
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TQ EXECUTE A LEAS
WITH PADUCAH PROMOTIONS, INC., FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY DURING „THE PADUCAH
SUMMER FESTIVAL, AND AUTHORIZING TEMPOTARY CLOSING OF STREETS FOR USE BY PADUCAH
PROMOTIONS, INC., DURING THE_FESTIVAL ON AUGUST 4, 5 AND 6, 197211, be adopted,
,Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear.and
Mayor McNutt (5) . .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an

TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF _PADUCAH IN LOT 15 IN .BLOCK 1 O'BRYAN'S ADDITION
ON CENTER STREET, FOR THE SUM OF.$200.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE RECREATING CHAPTER 6, 'BONDSMEN' FOR THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (4), Commissioner Harvey
voted "No".
On motion the meeting adjourned.
