At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on July 18, 1972, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on July 18,
1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
following laborers in the refuse department be ,laced under Civil Service for such
positions, effective May 15, 1972; provided they furnish at their expense a satisfacto
medical report as to their physical condition:
Connie Lee Watts at 7:25 a.m.
Cletus Woods -at 7:30 a.m.

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion,-.-seconded-by Commissioner Harvey, that a
copy of the =proposed contract for grant to .develop land for. -open space -land purposes,
Project No. Ky-1017-OS, between the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the United States of
America, be.received; filed and approved. I Adopted on-call of the Roll, Ye -as,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert; Puryear-and Mayor,McNu,tt (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner_Ha,rvey, that
the executed contract between the City of Paducah and -.Howe Fire Apparatus Company,
Inc., for sale to the City of a 1972 Howe Model HR -102 Fire Truck, _be received and
filed. Adopted oncell of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion; seconded -by Commissioner Puryear, that,the
following personnel changes be -made:
1. George Meadows, maintenance helper in the Maintenance Department, be promoted
to maintenance man, at a salary of $2.93 per hour, retroactive to July 10, 1972.
2. prank L. Steel be employed as Maintenance Helper in the Maintenance Department,
at a salary of $2.83 per hour, retroactive to -July 17, 1972.
3. The resignation of Helen C. Nagel_.as Senior Clerk in the Finance Department
be accepted, effective July 31, 1972.
/4. Dennie Sweatt. part-time laborer in the Park Department, be terminated
r effective July 13, 1972
5. Bobbie Joe Ford be employed as part-time laborer in the Park Department,
retroactive to July 11, 1972, at a salary of $2.00 per hour.

and Mayor McNutt (5) .

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Mundy Funeral Home
of the northwest corner of Lot No. 356 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak
Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance
to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Grant Agreement between the City of Paducah and the United States of America for
Project No. WS -KY -69 Water Facilities, dated June 12, 1972, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that
y the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Henry Childrey
of the northwest corner of Lot No. 357 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to
Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be"authorized to execute a deed of
conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas; Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
>. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded"by Commissioner Lambert, that the
liability Iinsurance policy issued by State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company to
V. L. Chandler -d/b/a Chandler Plumbing Company for a period of one year from August_"3,
1972, be received,'approved and* filed. Adopted on-call of -the Roll; Yeas, -Commissioner
Harvey, Hornsby," Lambert, Puryear and -Mayor McNutt -(5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Board of Commissioners approve -the sale by the -City of Paducah to Elma Lee of the north-
west one-fourth of Lot No. 3 in Section 3 of the Mausoleum Addition to Oak Grove
Cemetery for the sum of $400.00, said parcel of ground being 10 feet by 10 feet. I
further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said
cemetery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, -Yeas, Commissioners. Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt

BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", be adopted.

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR SALE TO
THE CITY OF ONE COMPACT AUTOMOBILE TO BE USED BY THE CRIME SCENE UNIT OF THE PADUCAH
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (5) .
