At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 p.m. on April 18, 1972, Mayor McNut
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner:
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 5 o'clock p.m. on
April 18, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the Preliminary Report for Secondary Wastewater Treatment Facilities for the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, as prepared by Community Program Consultants, Inc. and Florence &
Hutcheson, Inc., be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that
the claim of James Randle of 3212 Rucker Avenue, for damages caused to his property by
Cushman refuse vehicle in January, 1972, be allowed in the sum of $25.00, and that the
City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a full and complete
release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
following personnel changes be made:
1. The following persons be employed as temporary pump operators in the Floodwall De-
partment at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to April 17, 1972: -

Ed Hunt, private in the Fire Department, be promoted to Chief Mechanic in said
department, effective May 1, 1972.
Bobby G. Crouch, alarm superintendent in the Fire Department, be promoted to
captain in said department, effective May 1, 1972.
4. Elmer L. Crouch, captain in the fire department be promoted to fire marshall in
said department, effective May 1, 1972.
5. Marshall Jeffords be changed from second assistant chief of police to night
assistant chief of police, retroactive to April 1, 1972.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and
Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT OFFER FROM THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA ACTING THROUGH THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT BARKLEY FIELD,
UNDER PROJECT NO. 8-21-0043-01 IN THE AMOUNT OF $118,929.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).

Apportionment Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an

INCOME OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SUCH PURPOSES", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-19 (a) AND (e) AND ADDING NEW SUB-
SECTIONS (h) , (i) AND (j) THERETO, and AMENDING SECTIONS 12-24, 12-28 AND 12-29 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF ALLEN AND ASSOCIATES,
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
AND ALL CITY OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 1982 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT TO THEM OF THE
SUM OF $5,000.00", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-1 (a) , (c) , (d) , (i) AND ADDING A NEW SUB -S
(j), AND AMENDING SECTIONS 25-2 AND 25-3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
