Proceedings of Board of Comm ssiQners_ City of Paducah March -28, 1972
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 28, 1972, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading
of the Minutes for March 21, 1972 be waiver and that the Minutes of said meeting
prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
File bids Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner. Hornsby, that the

following bids for sale to the City of one brushchipper for use in the Public. Works
Department, be received and filed:

January 1, 1973, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that
a letter from Clifton Goin pertaining to a sewer tap -on for his residence at 2318
Elmwood Avenue be received and filed, and that the offer contained in said letter be
accepted, and that the City issue a sewer tap -on` -permit upon --receipt of -payment of
the sum of $750.00. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner -Harvey., that,a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A
FEDERAL GRANT TO DEVELOP OPEN -SPACE LAND IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, UNDER THE
LEGACY OF PARKS PROGRAM", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
��.. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution
entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FOR
SEWAGE TREATMENT WORK", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an '
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE RECITING THE NEED FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN .LAND
FOR A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT TO SERVICE LOURDES HOSPITAL, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PA'
OF THE PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIRED BY THE GRANTING OF TAP -ON RIGHTS", be introduced and
remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KAY UNIFORMS FOR FURNISHING THE
CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS FOR THE YEAR 1972, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY;
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for
at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EASLEY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC.
FOR'THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE BRUSHCHIPPER FOR USE IN THE -PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT,,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced
and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection -in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HOWE FIRE APPARATUS COMPANY, INC.
POR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1000 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMPING ENGINE FOR USE IN
THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
