Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commi'ss-ioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,,Puryear- and Mayor McNutt (5)i Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, -seconded by Commissioner Harvey, as follows.- WHEREAS, ollows: WHEREAS, Donald Dixon, a patrolman in the Paducah Police Department -,has requested a leave of absence from August 20, 1972 to June 15, 1974 to complete the required work for a Bachelor's Degree in law enforcement,from Eastern -Kentucky University, and WHEREAS, the said Donald Dixon will have his education funded in part by a grant and loan from the Federal Government which will obligate him to remain employed by the Paducah Police Department for a period of at least two years following his graduation. + ~ NOW THEREFORE, I move that the said Donald Dixon be granted a leave of absence from his duties as patrolman in the Paducah Police Department for the period of time requested, and that he further be permitted to work on temporary and special assignment with the police department during school vacation periods, and during the Summer of 1972.
