A MUNICIPAL ORDER AMENDING SECTION 25, "PAYMENT
STANDARD" TO THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN FOR SECTION 8
EXISTING HOUSING ADOPTED BY MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1439
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Municipal Order No. 1439, on
March 24, 2009, adopting a Revised Administrative Plan for Section 8 Existing Housing
which provides decent, safe and sanitary rental housing assistance for eligible families
and to provide opportunities, promote self-sufficiency and economic independence for
Section 8 participants and;
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah's Section 8 Department prepared an
analysis and found that the average gross rents under Section 8 contracts for the two and
three bedroom units were less than the published Fair Market Rent, and;
WHEREAS, the City's Section 8 Department proposes to amend the
Section 8 Housing Administrative Plan, Section 25 "Payment Standard" to reflect
adoption of the applicable payment standard for two and three bedroom units in
accordance with the Housing and Urban Development "Budget Related Averages
Report", and;
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend this plan.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah amends Section 25, "Payment
Standard" effective July 1, 2009, to the Revised Administrative Plan for Section 8
Existing Housing adopted by Municipal Order No. 1439.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.
