AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR A 2009 MATCHING SAFETY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky League of Cities 2009
Matching Safety Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 137 on March 10, 2009, for the purchase
of two KMESHA registrations, CPR manikins, 100 online university credits, personal protective
equipment, and the rental of audio dosimeters for the Risk Management Department; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky League of Cities has approved the application and is
now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky League of Cities, in the amount
of $2,984.00 for two KMESHA registrations, CPR manikins, 100 online university credits,
personal protective equipment, and the rental of audio dosimeters for the Risk Management
Department. This program requires local matching funds of $2,984 that will be provided from
the Risk Management existing budget.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Risk Management Training -
Safety Account.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
