At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall , Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p. m. , on December 30, 1975, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading
of the Minutes for December 9, 16 & 23, 1975 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings
prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,, that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m. , on December 30 , 1975, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt made the following appointments:
The members of the Youth Advisory Committee having resigned, I hereby
appoint the following as members of said Committee for an indefinite period:

Mayor McNutt made the following appointments:
I hereby appoint Gene Ruoff and Randall Grief to serve as the City of Paducah
Members to the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Task Force for Purchase Area
Development District, said members to serve for indefinite terms .
Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that upon
recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made:
1. Athel Shepherd, Jr, Square Dance Instructor for Senior Citizens in the Parks
& Recreation Department, be terminated effective December 31, 1975.
2. Ruby Benberry, Arts & Crafts Instructor for Senior (citizens in the Parks &
Recreation Department, be terminated effective December 31, 1975.
3. Carla Berry, Baton Instructor in the Parks & Recreation Department, be
terminated retroactive to December 29, 1975.

Commissioner Coleman offered motion. seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that
the claim of Paul Steele, Route 1, Clarks River Road, Symsonia, Kentucky, in the amount of
$302.62, for damage to his 1974 GMC Pickup truck when struck by an Inspection Department
vehicle, on October M, 1975 , at 19th & Broadway, be approved, and that the City Treasurer
be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted
on. call of the Roll , Yeas , Commissioners Brumley , Coleman , Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Charles Clark of
Lot No. 292-H in Section 19 of Oak Grove Cemetery, (said parcel of ground being 81 x 10 feet
and located at the northeast corner of said lot) for the sum of $250.00, receipt #4986, and
that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery graves.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Brumley. Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and
Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Hamock Funeral Home
of the Northwest corner of Lot No. 290 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove
Cemetery for the sum of $100.00 (Receipt No. 4985), and that the City Clerk be authorized to
execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that a
resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO COMMISSIONER HENRY
PURYEAR", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman,
Hornsby and Mayor McNutt (4) , Commissioner Puryear "Passed".
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that
an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ,
KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1976 WITH WOODALL & MELTON, INC. ," be adopted. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HARPER AND ARTERBURN , INC.
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MAJOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, KNOWN AS
TOWNLIFT , AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PROJECT ,
AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE
ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF PADUCAH FOR THE PAYMENT OF IT'S PROPORTIONATE SHARE
OF THE COST OF THE CONTRACT, AND FINALLY AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
