At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall , Paducah , Kentucky , at 4: 30 p . m. , on November 10, 1975 , Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) , Commissioners Brumley and Hornsby were absent.
Mayor McNutt offered motion,, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30 p.m., on November 10 , 1975 ,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Mayor McNutt offered the following motion:
I move that Mrs. Max Sacharnoski be selected and elected a Director
of the Forest Hills Public Project Corporation for a further term of five (5) years
from November 22, 1975, so that the Board of Directors and the expiration of the
term of each Director shall be as follows:
George Sullivan whose term expires November 22, 1976
George Wiley whose term expires November 22, 1977
L. B. Woolfenden whose term expires November 22, 1978
Brad Arterburn whose term expires November 22, 1979
Mrs. Max Sacharnoski whose term expires November 22, 1980
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that upon
recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made:
1.
L. Daniel Key be employed as Assistant Corporation Counsel, effective
November 10, 1975, at a salary of $600.00 per month.
2. The resignation of Henry C. Hodges, Foreman in Charge, Cemetery
Department, be accepted,, effective November 30, 1975.
3. The resignation of Marvin Nunn, Jr . , collector in the Refuse
Department, be accepted , retroactive to November 5, 1975.
4. Gary VanderBoegh , draftsman in the Engineering Department, be reclassified
as engineering technician in said department, at a salary of $800.00 per month,
effective November 10, 1975.
5. Benny R. Reed, rodman in the Engineering Department, be reclassified
as engineering technician in said department, at a salary of $800.00 per month,
effective November 10, 1975.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
letter, dated November 3 , 1975 , from David R. Graham, Natural Resources Planner, Purchase
Area Development District, together with the amended 11701" Contract, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the
Consititutional Oaths of William S. Murphy, Clifford A. Brumley, P. J. Grumley, , John W. Hornsby,
and Henry Puryear as Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, dated
November 6, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .

Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the letter
from the Board of Directors of the Forest Hills Public Project Corporation submitting the names
of three persons as nominees for the term of Mrs. Max Sacharonoski, which term will expire
November 22, 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a resolution
entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A
MAJOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (3) .
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 2-129 'ASSIGNMENT OF ASSISTANTS';
SECTION 2-130 'DUTIES OF ASSISTANT ASSIGNED TO CIVIL MATTERS'; SECTION 2-131 'DUTIES
OF ASSISTANT ASSIGNED TO POLICE COURT' AND SECTION 2-132 'CLERICAL ASSISTANCE' OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND REENACTING A NEW
SECTION 2-129 'ASSIGNMENTS AND DUTIES OF ASSISTANT CORPORATION COUNSELS"', be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (3) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES , INC. FOR SALE TO
THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) NEW 1976 AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE,
AND NINE NEW 1976 AUTOMOBILES TO BE USED AS POLICE VEHICLES , AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain
on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (3) .

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR SALE TO
THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) NEW 1976 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE CHIEF
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASE" , be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION 10-51
'ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (3) .

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47 'NONCIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES
GENERALLY' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY", be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (3) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear , that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
WHITE FARMS FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER
18 , 1976 TO JUNE 30 , 1976" , be introduced and remain on file for one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 19 1975 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1976, AND
APPROPRIATING THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND INCOME OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SUCH
PURPOSES" , be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (3) .
On motion the meeting adjourned.
