At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in•the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p.m. on October 30, 1973, Mayor -McNutt presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their named: Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4: 30.p.m.,on October 30, 1973, be
received and filed: Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that
upon the recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made:
1. Doug Harrall be employed as temporary laborer in the Maintenance Department. at
a salary of.$2.00 per hour, retroactive to October 29,, 1973.
2. Howard E. Johnson be employed as inspector in the Inspection Department, at a
salary of $560.00 per month, effective November 5, 1973.
3. ..The. following firefighters in the Paducah, Fire Department.be promoted to
lieutenants in said department, effective' November `12; 1973:

Freddie Cooper
Lenol Krone
Kenneth Meeks
Donald Watson
Gladman Humbles
4. The following lieutenants in .the ,Paducah Fire Department be promoted to Captains
in said department, effective November 12, 1973:

5. The following applicant -candidates in the Paducah Fire Department having
satisfactorily completed the 60 day training period as such applicant -candidates .
as provided by ordinance, they are hereby appointed firefighters in said depart-
ment, at a salary of $530.00 per month, effective November 12, 1973:

7. Clifton Garland, No. 1 Maintenance Man in the -Maintenance Department, be re
classified as No. 1 Maintenance Man. - OSHA Inspector_ , at a base hourly wage of
' 56 per hour, effective November 12, 1973.
8. The 'following be employed as basketball instructors in the Parks Department
effective November 5, 1973, at a salary of $15.00. per session:

Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by -,.Commissioner .Lambert, that
the claim of Alfred Chapman in the amount of.$1-32..50 for damage to his automobile as a result
of being struck by a car driven by a City Housing Inspector at 5th & Jefferson Streets on
October 25, 1973, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized.to pay said claim after
'first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING POOL AND BATHHOUSE TO BE LOCATED AT BLACKBURN
PARK IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
A CONTRACT MAY BE LET", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-52 'STREET DEPARTMENT - GENERALLY'
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY CREATING THE NEW
POSITION OF 'NIGHT FOREMAN"', be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 10-52 (a) , ' STREET
DEPARTMENT - GENERALLY', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ABOLISHING THE
POSITION OF 'NO. 1 MAINTENANCE MAN', AND CREATING THE NEW POSITION OF 'NO. 1
MAINTENANCE MAN -OSHA INSPECTOR"', be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY ABOLISHING ONE
POSITION OF EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 'B', AND CREATING THE NEW POSITION OF EQUIPMENT
OPERATOR 'A"', be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 2-47 (a)
"NON -CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES GENERALLY' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
