Roll the following answered to their namb-s:- Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem -Pruyear (4) . `Mayor' Protem. Puryear° offered, motion, seconded by Commissioner •Hornsby, that the reading -of the Miriutes for -August 28 and September 4, 1973 be waived and -that the Minutes of said meetings7prepared.by the `City Clerk,be approved as written. - Adopted on call -of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear . (4) Commissioner Harvey -offered motion, seconded -by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board- of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of. Paducah- to William R i and Hermit/ Jean Small of a parcelof ground 10 feet by 10 feet located -in -the southeast corner of Lot, No,296 in Section 19-In'r0ak Grove Cemetery; =being Graves Nos. -6 and ;7, for the sum of $250.00 (Receipt No. 14817) , and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a,deed to;said cemetery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert and Mayor Protem Puryear (4) Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Board' of'Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Savanrah-Johiison of the Southwest corner of Lot No. 283 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing -Addition -10 Oak Grove Cemetery, for the sum of $200.00 (Receipt No 14818), and that the City Clerk be'autholized to execute a deed 'of conveyance to said cemetery grave`'. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the claim' of Larry Townsend''in the amount of $50.00 for damages to his automobile be' approved, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after' -first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert 1. and Mayor Protem Puryear '(4) . _ Commissioner 'Lambert offered motion; seconded by Commissioner -Hornsby . as follows: Upon the recommendation of Leon Dodge, Fire Chief, and the City Manager, I move that the following "personnel changes be made: It appearing that James C. Turner, Jr . , failed to qualify for employment in the Paducah Fire Department because'of a temporary `physical reason , I now therefore move that the action taken by this Board on August 28, 1973 to employ James C. Turner, Jr., be rescinded; and that Everett E. Dunlap be employed as"Applicant-Candidate in said Fire Department, effective September 17, 1973, at a salary of $395.00 per month, provided by -such time he furnishes at his expense a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram.
