At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4: 30 p. m. , on August 7, 1973, Mayor McNutt,presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, --Hornsby,
Lambert; Puryear`and Mayor'McNutt (5),-.
Mayor McNutt -offered motion;' seconded by Commissioner Hornsby,: that the executed
copies of -the Notice' -of Called Meeting to b-e -held' at 4:.30 p :.gym .. on August'7, 1973 be received and
filed. Adopted on call -of the =Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey ; Hornsby; Lambert; Pur'year
and Mayor McNutt (5) . '

1 Jessie Cole; collector --in the Defuse Department',`be'promoted to truck driver in
said department, at a salary of $2.91 per hour, effective August 6, 1973.
2. `Dexter -Martin be employed astemporary laborer'in the Refuse'Department; at a
v salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to August 1, 1973.
3. Floyd Moody, collector in the Refuse Department, be terminated, retroactive to
August 3, 1973. -- -
4. Kentethr Scruggs; -part-time laborer in -the Par'k-s Department, be-promoted'to-part-
�f' time truck driver in said department, at a salary of $2.10 per hour, retroactive

Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by° Commissioner Lambert, that
the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of -Paducah to Cosmopolitan Mortuary
of the- southeast -corner of Lot No 348 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove
Cemetery:, for the sum of $100 .;00 (Receipt -No. 11596) , and that the City Clerk be authorized
to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave : Adopted on call of the :Roll , Yeas ,

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS ELMWOOD CEMETERY
AND LOCATED WITHIN THE -CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE" CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO BE
ABANDONED, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE SUIT PURSUANT
TO KRS 381.720" , be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY MACHINERY, INC. FOR SALE
-TO THE CITY OF THREE (3) MODEL L-400 VACUUM LEAF LOADERS AND SIX (6) LEAF COLLECTION
MODEL L-800 BOXES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT -FOR: SUCH
PURCHASE" ; be introduced and remain on file fore at leasta a week for public inspection in the

TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 7, BLOCK 1, IN J. W. LITTLE ADD-
ITION FOR THE SUM OF $450.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,

THE CITY OF ONE 1974 FORD 3/4 TON TRUCK FOR USE BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on
file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put
upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby,
Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

A JOINT CONTRACT WITH McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PAYMENT OF SAID DEMOLITION
SERVICES", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the
