Board of Commissioners receive and file copy of a motion adopted by thePaducah
Planning Commission on May 1;-1973 recommending closing`of'a portion of-Thurmar Street
lying= South of 1Vleyers Street and a 15 foot alley running parallel with: Meyers Street at the en

of the said Thurman Street and. -also' recommending -that-the City initiate action- to secure,a .

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that
the liability insurance policy issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company
covering the City of Paducah as Owner, and Harper & Arterburn, Inc., as General
Contractors, and their sub -contractors, in the amount of $140, 000. 00, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear,
that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made:
1. Carl Harper be employed as a temporary laborer in the Refuse Department,
at a salary of $2.00 per hour, effective May 14, 1973.
2. William Steven Owen be employed as a seasonal laborer in the Cemetery Department,
at a salary of $2.00 per hour, effective May 14, 1973.
3. Robert Hawkins, temporary laborer in the Refuse Department, be terminated,
effective May 11, 1973.

Citizens Housing Corporation and The City of Paducah, Kentucky, covering. the erection
of an antenna system atop The Jackson House, which Lease is dated April 20, 1973;
