Eisq Jr. Policeman jresignation Board of Commissioners City of March 13, 1973 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 p.m. on March 13, 1973, Mayor McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commission- ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for February 13, 20, 27, and March 6, 1973 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved -as written. Adopted o call of the Roll, Yeas, Commmissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . o Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Florence & Hutcheson, for engineering services to be rendered in the design and construction of various street improvements in the City of Paducah, be received and filed. Adopted on call o the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the fo4- owing bids for sale to the City of one (1) Rubber Tired End Loader be received and fi Brandeis Machinery & Supply Corporation Kentucky Machinery, Inc. Whayne Supply Company Rudd Construction Equipment Co., Inc. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Eva Perry, c/o HamocX ' Funeral Home, of two graves being the north one-half of Lot No. 133 in Block No. 9 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery for the sum of $200.00 (Receipts Nos. 11523 and 11535), and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyanc to said cemetery graves. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the salary of Jill McIntosh, part time temporary clerk -typist in the Floodwall Department, be increased to $90.00 per month, effective April 1, 1973. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the resignation of James O. Eison, Jr., a member of the Paducah Police Department, effective March 14, 1973, be received, accepted and filed. The resignation of John -D. Tucker, patrolman in` the "Police. Department, be. accepted, effective March 23, 1973. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the claim of Mrs. Barbara Fikein the amount of $682.80 for loss of various personal items which were in the custody of the Police Department be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that �. the Certificate of Insurance issued by Associated Indemnity Corporation to Leslie A. (` Feast Construction Co. Inc. for a period of one year from January 1, 1973 be received approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Lassiter -McKinney Dodge, Inc. for sale to the City of one (1) 1973 Dodge Maxi Van for use by the Senior Citizens, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Allan Rhodes, Inc. for sale to the City of two (2) 1973 Mavericks for use in the Inspection Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). // Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that and ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO A SALARY SUPPLEMENT FOR POLICE OFFICERS"1; be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5). 1. Robert E. Wahl be employed as temporary- _laborer in the Maintenance Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to March 12, 1973. 2. Davis Mathis be employed as temporary pump operator in the Floodwall Department ' at 'a salary of $2:'00 per �-hour, ,retroactive to March -12, 1973. - = 3. The following temporary employees in the Parks Department be terminated -- effective March 12, 1973: Joe Dan Gold Arnold Hearon Berny Miller Monte Peck Ricky Ragland Bill Shelton Don Smith James Winn - B. HANNAN & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRANDEIS MACHINERY & SUPPLY CORPORATION FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE RUBBER TIRED END LOADER FOR USE IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final. passage.
