At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.M. on January 8, 1973, Mayor McNutt
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Mayor McNutt offered motion, Seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m., on January 8,
1973, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
following bids for a contract with the City to provide public transportation, be
received and filed:

Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear
and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
following persons be employed as collectors in the Refuse Department, at a salary. of
$2.50, per hour, retroactive to January 3, 1973, provided they furnish at their expense,
a satisfactory medical report as to their physical condition:

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the
executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Motorola Communications
& Electronics, Inc. for sale to the City of fourteen portable communication units
for use in the Paducah Police Department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the
bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for sale to the City of Paducah of
two-way radio communications equipment for use in the Fire Department, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Ray H. Mullen Motor
Company, Inc. for sale to the City of a 1973 Ambassador 4 -door sedan for use by the
City Manager, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-
ers Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
Bonder No. 13 for the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency Neighborhood
Development Program, Fourth Annual Increment, Project No. KY. A-2, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert,
Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
attached schedule of electric rates applicable for Drainage Pumping Stations and
Outdoor Lighting, effective January 2, 1973, which schedule of rates was approved
by the Electric Plant Board on December 13, 1972, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor
McNutt (5) .
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
bid of Allan Rhodes, Inc. for sale to the City of Paducah of one 1973 four door
automobile for use by the Fire Chief, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the

Commissioner Hornsby "offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that a

FOR ONE NEW 1973 MEDIUM SIZE FOUR DOOR SEDAN FOR USE BY THE MAYOR, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE" , be adopted.

Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
BROADWAY EAST OF THE I.C. AND GULF RAILROAD RIGHT-OFWAY, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH
ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING"; be adopted. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Hornsby, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5)i

FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH TWO-WAY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR USE
BY THE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
