MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1769
A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE U. S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR A 2014 PORT SECURITY GRANT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $167,700, FOR THE PURCHASE OF MOBILE AND PORTABLE
RADIOS FOR THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application and
all documents necessary through the U. S. Department of Homeland Security for a 2014 Port
Security Grant in the amount of $167,700, for the purchase of 48 mobile radios and 44 portable
radios for the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 2. Local matching funds are required for a total of $55,900. Funds
will be allocated from the FY2015 budget as follows: $26,000 from the Engineering -Public
Works Department; $20,800 from the Fire Department; and $9,100 from the Police Department.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
