Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m., on July 30, 1974, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Coleman, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor McNutt (5) . Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that upon the recommendation of the City Manager, the following personnel changes be made: 1. Janet Pierce be employed as part-time and temporary clerk -stenographer in the Planning Department, at a base hourly rate,of-$3-:00".per-hour; effective July 30;- 1974; and to work such hours as may be specified by the Acting Planner and the -City -Manager .' James W. Sikes - Maint . 2. James W., Sikes be employed as maintenance man No. 2 in the. Parks,_& Recreation - Man No. 2 - Parks Department, retroactive to July 29, 1974, at a salary of $3.41 per hour. Eugene Wooten to Asst. 3. Eugene Wooten, captain in the Paducah Fire Department, be promoted to Assistant Chief in fire department Chief in said department-, effective August 5, 1974;. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, as follows: Joan Nelson I move that Joan Nelson, assistant'ta-the Planning Director, be designated Acting Planner Acting Planner with an increase in -monthly compensation of $75.00 until further action by this` Board in replacing the Planning Director or restructuring the department, and I further move that the Acting Planner be authorized to perform °all services of the Planning Director as have been authorized by ordinance and`for, which no professional certifications are required.
