The meeting was presided: over by Mayor Alice H. McNutt, .who called the meeting to order, and upon the roll being called there were present, the Mayor .and the: following Commissioners: Alice H. McNutt, Mayor, Henry Pur—year, John- Hornsby, Clifford A.. Brumley and Robert A. Coleman. _ There,. were absent - none._ The City .Clerk ,, Sarah Thurman, was also present. Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby; that the executed copies of the -Notice of Ca11e.d.Meeting .to.be:held at 4:30- P.M.,- C .D .T„ on April 16, 1974, be received and filed. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the following documents from the Paducah Public Schools concerning the..1.974 tax rate for school purposes , .be received and filed: _ 1. Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner -:Coleman, .that - the claim of Roy_Brooks in the amount of $14.20 for, damage to his. 1968 Chrysler by, being struck , by a City Inspection vehicle on April_2,_ 1974,_at. the intersection of Old Mayfield Road and South 21st Street be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after. first obtaining a complete and final release. No i, 6 of. the -Rushing Addition to, Oak: Grove.. -- Cemetery, for the sum of $100 (Receipt No. 18013), and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. I r:: Proceedings "-.- Proceedings of— Board of Commissioners Gfy of Paducah April 16, 1974 Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that upon the recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: Linn B Willis Laborer Cemetef 1. 'Linn B. Willis be employed'as temporary porary laborer in the Cemetery Department, at a salary of $2.10 per hour, effective April 16, 1974. Ray L Grim -Tri ck 2. Ray L.. Grim be employed as temporary truck driver, in the Cemetery Department, driver- C emeter: r at a salary -of $2.25 per hour, retroactive to April 12, 1974. Bill Moore - Pa s, 3. Bill Moore, maintenance man in the Parks Department, be authorized to work as a shop work as shop mechanic in said department, on a temporary basis at such times as the regularly mechanic employed shop mechanic is ab sent and I it is determined by the supervisor that the Moore works as a shop mech services of a shop mechanic is e'ssential. On such days and for such time as Bill Moore works as a shop mechanic, his rate of pay for each such hour shall be $3.61. Authorization for such increases shall be retroactive to April 8, 1974. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners Cid, of Approve "Notice of Bond Sale" "Bid LI Form" "Official I Terms & Conditions" No. 223 April 16, 1974 Mayor McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the City Clerk be instructed and directed to cause publication to be made as required by law, one time in the Paducah Sun Democrat, one time in The Courier Journal, a newspaper published in the city of Louisville, Kentucky, and of general circulation throughout the State of Kentucky, and one time in The Bond Buyer, a periodical of general circulation among bond issue purchasers, of a "Notice of Bond Sale' calling for bids for the purchase of $1,340,000 of City of Paducah Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Series 'of 1974, dated April 1, 1974, in the form attached hereto that the Board of Commissioners approve the form of the "Official Terms and Conditions of Sale of Bonds" in the form attached hereto, to be distributed to any interested bidders, in connection with the sale of said Bonds, such bids to be received until 4:30 P.M., C .D . T . , on May 7, 1974, and that only those bids be considered for the purchase of said Bonds that are submitted on "Bid Forms" supplied by the City Clerk, a copy of which bid form is attached hereto and approved by the Board of Commissioners.
