Brown w/enclosures from Board of Education -re- garding 2 1978-79 tax rate Set tax rate for 78-79 .v At a Called Meeting of the , Board of Commissioners held on December 22, 1978 at 1: 00 p.m. Mayor Murphy presided and upon call of the Roll, the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Mayor Murphy offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the executed copies of the Notice . for Called Meeting to be held at 1: 00 p.m. on Friday, Dec- ember 22, 1978, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Mayor Murphy offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman that the reading of the Minutes for December 19, 1978, be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the letter from Richard B. Brown, Acting Superintendent of Paducah Public Schools, dated December 22, 1978, with enclosures (a) Resolution of Paducah Board of Education con- cerning tax levy for 1978-79 school year, (b) 'Resolution of said Board concerning special voted building fund rate, (c) copy of the certified assessment by the Kentucky Com- missioner of Revenue, and (d) copy of the Department of Education form showing school tax rates, which were received by the City Manager and Administrative Clerk on December 22, 1978, be now ordered to be filed by the Administrative Clerk. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . follows: Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, as WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes permit the adoption of ordinances by reference to a summary thereof; I therefore move that an ordinance fixing the levies and rates of taxation on all property in the city of Paducah, Kentucky, subject to taxation for municipal purposes and for school purposes for the period from July 1, 1978 through June 30, 1979 , with the purposes of said taxes thereunder defined, and as appended in full hereto be introduced and adopted according to law. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Meeks, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Upon motion the meeting adjourned. APPROVED: / C City Clerk Mayor
