A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY, FOR A MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 FOR THE
PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT'S FIREFIGHTER OPERATIONS AND SAFETY
PROJECT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application and
all documents necessary through the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency
Management Agency, for a matching grant in the amount of $100,000 for the Paducah Fire
Department's Firefighter Operations and Safety Project for funding for training, equipment
purchases, and various other activities. Local cash match will be in the amount of $10,000
provided through the 2009/2010 fiscal budget.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
