A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE FOR A
GOVERNOR'S 2009/2010 HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM GRANT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
application and all other documents necessary with the Kentucky State Police for a Governor's
2009 Highway Safety Program reimbursement grant in the amount of $31,000. Said grant funds
shall be expended for overtime traffic enforcement activities and traffic enforcement related
supplies and equipment provided by police officers in the Paducah Police Department. This
program requires a local cash match of $15,500 that will be allocated in the 2009/10 fiscal year's
budget.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
